B.Ed (Physical Education)

Minimum Admission Requirement (O.3320)

A candidate for the degree of Bachelor of Education(Physical) must have passed a Bachelor's degree examination of this University in any Faculty or a corresponding degree examination of any other University recognised as equivalent thereto and in addition must have, subsequent tot his passing the Bachelor's degree examination :-
(1) Kept two terms, the first and the second (seperated over the maximum period of 2 consecutive academic years) in a College of Physical Education.
(2) Completed a course of practical work extending over two terms for the satisfaction of the Head of the Institution in which the candidate is studying, consisting of :
(a) Attendance at Demonstration/Discussion lessons and
(i) internship of at least one week's duration,
(ii) working with the community,
(iii) Socially useful productive work - at least two of the work - experience Projects of Maharashtra State Syllabus,
(iv) Participation/Organisation of co-curricular activities and
(v) Chalk Board work and Audio-Visual Education.
(b) Observation of Teaching as directed.
(c) Teaching Practice of not less than 25 lessons distributed over different standards Vth to Xth of a recognised secondary school selected by the Principal as practising school. Out of these twenty-five, five lessons will be microlessons.
(d) Candidates who are eligible to teach Std.XI and XII may be permitted to take one or both special methods upto XII Std.
