B.Ed. (Hearing Impaired)

Minimum Admission Requirement (O.3327)

A candidate for the degree of Bachelor of Education B.Ed. (H.I.) must have passed a Bachelor's Degree examination of this University in any faculty or a corresponding degree examination of any other University recognised as equivalent thereto and in addition must have :-

1)Kept two terms the first and second (seperated over maximum period of 2 consecutive academic years) in a college of Education/College of special education;
(2)Completed a course of educational and clinical practical work extending over two school terms to the satisfaction of the Head of the Institution in which the candidate is studying,consisting of :-
(a)attendance at minimum 10 Demonstration/Discussion lessons;
(b)Observation of teaching as directed;
(c)Practice teaching of not less than 40 lessons distributed over differnet standards and special education subject (language /Development, School subjects, Speech teaching and Auditory training) in recognised schools selected by the Principal/Director as practising schools;
(d)Attendance for the discussion of clinical practice work and of practice teaching.
